A heavily bearded Stephen Mangan?

This is a promo pic for The Norman Conquests. Is it me, cos at first glance I can't see Mr. Mangan in said picture! If it is, he looks very different. I'm not sure about the beard somehow :shock:

Yeah I think it was that Cricket AM interview where he said he had to grow his hair and a beard for the part...not sure I really like it but I'll reserve judgement till I see it in person! I think it actually might be a requirement of the stage directions because Tom Conti's Norman is very hairy in the TV version too.
