How is everyone coping without their physical JRT fix?

Postby Minki » Thu Sep 13, 2007 12:14 pm

Just wanted to know how you are all coping now it's been a while since LWW has finished? I know a few of you had been seeing him regularly at the stage door. Are the Barclaycard ads helping?

All I can say is thank goodness he isn't available anymore - it was all getting a bit much. Normally rational, sensible people were getting up to all sorts of mischief. And who spent all the child benefit on tickets????

I think JRT was well on the way to issuing multiple restraining orders.

In my case all the readily available audiopr0n has helped immensely.

well, as i got used to getting almost everyday dose of fresh pictures and stories from the backstage door, it was kind of hard to go back to usual one off news. Ads helped indeed and also i got my copy of Hippies lately and that was a party
Now I'l be waiting for the holidays to get Keen Eddy DVD
what about you?

Well....(where to start) I am very much loving the gorgeous Fraise blonde in the barclay card ads (he is looking particularly yummy! ) but don't watch that much tv so, don't get to see it that much (mind you, its not always in every comercial break is it? or is it?)) so when I want a fix of that I just watch it youtube.
Also as you might have read, as well, I did write to Julian regarding the Government's Marine Bill (to ensure better protection for all marine species) as I am heavily into my Marine Conservation (hence my username) asking if he'd sign a "scale" to put on our Petition fish and bless him, he did (check out "a subject close to my heart" under the "Fan letter replies" thread)......
..So now I think I have the perfect opportunity to write to him again - thanking him for signing the petition and inviting him to the presentation of all the "Petition Fish" (from all the Wildlife Trusts "up and down" the country) on the 10th October when we shall be presenting them all to the Government in Westminster (it should be on the news too) BUT, he'll probably be way too busy, and possibly still filming "Oliver" (and I can't expect too much really can I? - he is a busy man after all!!) but you never know; one can all but try!!

Aw man, i feel weird!! i spent like all of my EMA on those trips to London... heheheh.... its alright, all of the uni's I'm applying to are in London, so by next september should he do anything readily available again I'll be able to go almost every night... mwahahaha! (If I get into King's, my halls will be across the street from the National! Whee! I love plays.)
I miss my hugs. I want another hug. But I still have my signed drawing and I keep the photo of me and him in my wallet (I'm not weird) so I'll always have remembrance of those two, brillant days. Hehe. More! I demand more!!! =D
I know! It's a wand. It's a magical, magical wand.

...Coping without a physical fix of Julian is bad enough but now that all the overwhelming amount of his wonderful presence on the small screen, at Christmas, is over now; I am really getting cold turkey!
...So thank goodness for another showing of "Clocking Off" and DVDs with him in otherwise, I don't know what I'd do.... I actually think I need a life?!!!

jrt fix

Postby smcassey » Tue May 13, 2008 9:21 pm

i only joined the forum in april, but have become seriously addicted to looking through it almost every day. looking at the great photos, eventually getting through to the audio links and listening to his fabulous voice, and then, saving the best till last, looking at the various clips from dvds i don't have yet. sooo after a really bad day at work, when anything that could go wrong did, i stumbled home, hoping that my daily jrt fix would soothe me. the family was out, no interruptions, i logged in, then horror of horrors, my computer froze on me! the cries of despair were unmerciful--and to make matters worse, my dvd player is broken.i now have a brilliantly clean kitchen--having scrubbed and cleaned everything that stood still long enough, including the dogs, muttering to myself all the time.have just managed to get back to the forum to find i'm still logged on.having got this off my chest must find jrt immediately. so in answer to the question, how are you getting by without your jrt fix- my answer would be -- disgracefully!! i am old enough to know better!! i will feel better shortly!i thank you. :duh:

Thank you smcassey; you really cheered me up this morning (although I know you didn't feel like laughing!) as I think we have all been in your position at some time. At least you know you can rant like that and we'll all understand.

Don't worry the obsession remains but you learn to control it! (Sometimes!)

jrt fix

Postby smcassey » Wed May 14, 2008 9:14 pm

thank you for your understanding reply. since finding the forum, have become worried over the intensity of my addiction. it's good to know others have been there, done it, coped with it. i may reach that plateau soon, though i am enjoying where i'm at at the moment. it's good to talk, or write, as they say. s.

Don't worry Smcassey; I am constantly looking over photos of the Lion's Mane - especially in his pin-stripes!
