Other fandoms, and suchlike.
I've been reading through the 'Introducing' section, and noticed that there's quite a few people who share other similar fandoms, apart from JRT. Doctor Who/David Tennant, for instance ... (one of mine in particular!)
I don't know why Tennat/JRT seem to bring in the same fans, because they coudn't look/be more different! It's great though, I thought I was the only one!
Just wondering what fandoms others here are part of?

My main one outside of GW/JRT is The League of Gentlemen. It's GENIUS. And Reece Shearsmith is rather lovely...
Ermm... Black Books, David Tennant, Dylan Moran, Doctor Who, pretty much any good british comedy (i.e not Little Britain or The Office ) Python, Mr. Depp...the list goes on!
Regarding the David Tennant/JRT thing, Tennant is much more the type I go for usually. I don't know what it is about JRT, he is just irresistable!

Well as you well know I am very much in the Tennant fanclub...but I also like fangirling slightly obscure Brit actors like Rufus Sewell, Toby Stephens, Damian Lewis etc. And I have to admit Mr Mangan is up there as well!
I also really love Spaced & Shaun of The Dead...basically anything Simon Pegg & Nick Frost have done!

wingnuts - my brother has just finished a run at drury lane where Reece was in the "producers" - says Reece was a lovely chap but is, alas married with 2 children, one i believe he has taken great delight in recently toilet training! My brother got me a League of Gentleman DVD for xmas which Reece signed - but spelt my name wrong! Thankfully my brother didn't point it out.....

I've always had this theory that David Tennant and JRT do in fact look very similar, apart from their diametically opposed colouring. But both have slim noses, high cheekbones, large eyes, fullish lips, pointed chins, good teeth and hence smiles. And very lovely voices.
That actually makes a lot of sense. Especially about the voices ... *drifts off into a daydream*

Your brother was in that?! I saw it THREE TIMES! Fantastic show! Reece was amazing and really lovely at the stage door when I asked him to sign things. Who did your brother play?
*Is jealous* of the signed DVD. You lucky, lucky girlie! It's such a brilliant programme.
Sorry, I am ever so slightly obsessed...
I've never made the connection between Tennant and JRT before, but now you mention it... you are perfectly correct!

It would take me forever to write a list of all the actors and musicians out there that i think are amazing, but i am really keen on JRT (obviously) and the cast of green wing, Dylan Moran, Bill Bailey, Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Tom Hanks, Johnny Depp, Antonio Banderas etc (i'm going to stop now before i bore you all!)
But I am so excited about the 15th Feb...
Two days before will be the world premier of Hot Fuzz...in London
But because the vast majority of the film was filmed in Wells, where i go to school, work etc, they are having a mini premier...in wells cinema...where i work...with Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, and Edgar Wright attending along with universal pictures security guards!!!
They were selling tickets for the premier at 10am last saturday, and my friend sat in the que from 5:30am that morning to be the first to get tickets for me, him and 2 other friends! and he got them!!
its a black tie, smart event, with drinks before hand, and an afterparty, which we are going to! i am SO EXCITED!!! hehehehehehe
I've met Simon and Nick before, but this will be a proper oppotunity.
I cant wait!

I don't know if anyone else got this email but I have to say this made me smile - particularly at the slightly mystified tone .........

Well their marketing systems clearly work anyway
