First just want to say "hi" to all, I'm new here, my name's Linka.
On Monday, after much persuasion from my friends, I discovered Green Wing. Since then (6 days ago) I've watched all of series one and all but the last of series two. Lord praise Virgin Media's free TVOnDemand! =P
Anyway... I appear to have fallen in love with Doctor Mac - and apparently seem to definitely not be alone. Whoo! =P Which makes me feel slightly more sane (but only a bit).

Last night i watched the episodes with the introduction of Mac's "Son", and then didnt get to watch the next one until this evening after work, and when i found out that Mackenzie wasn't really his i jumped in the air and cheered. Present company thought i was a bit weird. Which is probably true. Please nobody tell me what happens in the end or I'll cry.
My Christmas Special DVD is in the post. so thar.

Anyway hello people I hope I'm welcomed into your humble abode =)

Thanks, Funk! I'm not very good at this whole forum thing, so bear with me. I'm only 16 too (yes he's old enough to be my dad but I don't care. My mum thinks i'm weird. XD

I actually discovered JRT ages ago when he did that cameo role in Black Books as Jason Hamilton. I never really liked him but i remembered who he was and identified him in all those adverts he did.
It took me until the third episode of green wing to realise i liked him but oh well - i do, and i have no intention of going back any time soon. I am deeply jealous of all those that met him in January! Kudos to you though, i guess ill just have to wait until next time he's out and about. =P
By Wednesday I'll have seen all of green wing and I'll be able to take part in the rest of this forum without the fear of inadvertently finding out what happens at the end.
Thanks!

What's this about the National? And where is it? I'm up north in Newcastle, and poor, so if it's a big London thing (or anywhere oustide of my area) i probably won't be able to go :(
Please tell all of how it goes though when you get back!

I just watched the last episode of series 2 of Green Wing (not the christmas one, 2-8).

I cried. Mac can't be terminal! it just can't happen!!! It's not - its... waaa!!!!! Caroline can't marry Guy! It's just... ahhh.

Trust me LinkaNeo, you're not the only one who's family thinks their weird for having such admiration for JRT :P but i dont mind, because my mum still enjoys watching Black Books, and Green Wing with me, so as long as she is laughing along with me
I really wish i could go to the play too, but i'm strapped as well, and have no way of getting up to London, nowhere to stay and no one to go with, so i'm going to have to keep my fingers crossed and hope that when i'm old enough to go to these places independantly, JRT will be in a play then :D

I'm glad GW is still getting new fans, even after it's finished. I'm adamant we'll take over the world one day!

Daniel Radcliffe irritates me. He's smug and childlike. Enjoy the play though.

I watched the Last Ever Episode of Green Wing.
Yay! I'm so glad that happened in the end. It had to happen - it was the only way. Even if he only has a few weeks. Now i can only hope that they make another series and decide that there is a way to fix it, or something. Because they never actually specified what it was he had. Only that it had an A and an E in it. I liked how Sue White was bridesmaid though, that was quite comic. I really also enjoyed the scene where Sue was telling Guy that the marriage would never happen "Because every woman in the world loves Mac and they all hate you." That was a mint line.

I was ill off school today and my DVD arrived, i was most pleased. So pleased that after I'd watched it, I sat and watched all the extras and then the full thing again with the commentary. I kept almost turning it off but then Julian would come back and i decided to keep watching. =P

I must say the balloons were extremely confusing. I can imagine that was great fun to film. I preferred the one where all three flew off instead of just Caroline, though.
Blah. I talk too much. I can browse the rest of this section now! =D

See you in Zurich!

Hey guys check out the national website as there are a few afternoon maninee's on that start at 2.30. Maybe you can pester your parents to have a day in London and take you. I know the National Express from Brum to London can cost as little as 10 quir return, so it may not be too expensive from your neck of the woods either :D

*le sigh* ... I live in hope; we all do! I was hoping that somewhere in the Special, Jeremy Beadle would jump out and shout 'JUST KIDDING, You've Been Framed!!', and he wouldn't be dying.

I think I preferred the alternate ending too.

(p.s. I used to think Daniel Radcliffe was a bit annoying, but he seemed like a real sweetie on Friday Night With Johnathon Ross last week.

Funk-eh-B (I always feel so odd calling people by their usernames!) - front row seats? Now that's what I call a view ... ;)

I'd love to go for a matinee but alas I have no money and mum hates London. Next time though, definitely. =D

I drew Julian in a mini-manga style. When i get the chance I'll scan it and post it online. Mam says it doesn't look like him, but its designed to be childlike and when i did it the way she said it looked awkward. I'm going to do a more realistic one too and I'll put them all up, you can judge. =)

See you In Zurich.
