Thought I'd start a new topic, GW special being aired 4th Jan at 10pm on Channel 4 - Discuss!

it's not soon enough... we've already had to wait for 34 years !!!!

Yeah it certainly feels that long, Dawneh!

Only 21 days to go now though. Christmas and New Year will keep me busy, but I've got a feeling that by 3rd January I'll be chewing the carpet with anticipation. Just hope it lives up to expectations.

i'm not sure if i want to watch it on the tv of wait 4 extra days for the dvd to be released. if it ends badly i may need to watch the alternative ending immediately am i the only one who feels like this, or do i need to get a grip?!

Well according to The British Sitcom Guide the "alternate" ending isnt one that changes the outcome of the show - it's just a slightly different edit that makes the ending less clear... so it seems we will know for certain the fate of the lovely Doctor Mac... Oh WHY can't it be on any sooner..???

Sadly we in OZ have seen the Xmas Special before you. I won't spoil it for you since it is so close, but after seeing it I would call it "4 funerals and a wedding", and I got a bit bored with the stuff about Alan and Joanna.

I'm sure you will all love it.

It also made me think of 4 weddings and a funeral, but obviously in this case, one of each and some man slaughter.

The alternative ending was one they were going to use to leave it more open if there was going to be a third series.
