Mine would have to be Monty Pippin but how do the rest of you feel?

Mac is just too loveable for words... :)

I went for Monty, a meatier role, although Mac is such a wonderful character and Julian does a superb job with him.

Had to go with Mac - although I loved him in The Rotters Club.

I could never choose between Alex and Mac!
I may be many things, but not being indiscreet isn't one of them.

Monty Pippin. Such a hard choice, I love him as Rod in 'Miranda' also.
( I don't remember who gave me this Pippin photo-image, but I'm grateful!)

it had to be Mac as although I had seen him in other stuff previously it was seeing him as Mac that made me realise how trully yummy looking (and sounding) he is.
I loved him as Rod in Miranda too, the accent was a little strange to get used to though.

I voted for Mac. He's the reason I became interested in JRT and he's also the best character of Green Wing in my opinion.
I've only seen JRT in GW and Keen Eddie, so there might be a better character but I don't know it.

Is it possible to open a special thread for Mac or Green Wing in general?
I think a lot of members would love that :)

I went for Mac, purely because it is the most like a leading role, but I think Julian is an excellent character actor, and I find something interesting in everything he does. I really like Rod in Miranda as well, which wasn't on the list.

I have a soft spot for his Duke Of York from 'The Madness of King George'. I spent the whole time he was on going 'Awh! Cute!'

He really is adorable in it. He should do more films with Rupert Everett.

Other than 'Fred' I really like Iain from 'Sword of Honour' - purely because his short haircut suits him for once and his accent is sweet. Like, he was born in Scotland but moved to England when he was a child. Hehe.

Of the more conventional roles, Mac is top. Monty comes a close second.

I like Mr. Pimms the best! But I voted for James Valentine, as that's the only time where JRT's hair doesn't annoy me in some way.
