The Imp returns for a new series ...
'Animation studio Red Kite is bringing back The Imp, bigger and better than ever.
The series, whose eponymous and incompetent hero tries to fill the world with evil but always fall short, first appeared in a series of 90-second shorts produced in 2007.
The new series, which Red Kite will be promoting at MIPCOM, is planned for 78 seven-minute episodes. A pilot already is in production and due to be completed this year.
The new series will bring back original actors Stephan Mangan as Imp and Julian Rhind-Tutt as his sidekick Bob.
“We hope that the longer format of the second series will engage both existing fans and new fans alike, giving them more opportunities to follow the Imp and Bob’s daily trials in the service of evil,” says Ken Anderson, managing director and co-founder of Red Kite.'
