What taste - William Boyd is one of my favourite authors, and that particular version of Persuasion is one of my favourite films ever, and not just because it has Ciaran Hinds in it :roll:

Oh yes yes Persuassion is my favourite book and that is the best Austen adaptation I have seen by a country mile. Sorry Firth fans!

I really do love this man for his brain as well as his body...I reckon he'd be one of those people with whom you can have an interesting conversation about anything!

I wonder when they did this interview though, as do you think the world music documentary he mentions is the thing he did for Channel 4 radio or something completely different? Hopefully it is something new!

FQ I was wondering much the same thing - I think the interview could have been quite a while ago - he first mentioned Restless as the last thing he read about a year now!
