Thanks to everyone for a great day out. It was good to see people and have a catch-up. I felt like a girl guide leader on the way back to the hotel! 'Just along here, ladies' :D 'OK everyone - lets cross over' 'Remember to look out for M & S tomorow to guide you to the tube' etc. et...

I've not been around much either lately, but looking forward to meeting you all again.
No daughter this time though - you didn't actually scare her off last year - she's just got stuff on this weekend.
She still thinks we are all mad, but likeable at the same time :)

I'm at the travelodge too.
Great price for the night, but the only downside is that we'll have to take our overnight jim-jams etc. to the venue as check-in isn't until 3pm (unless you want to pay an extra £10 to book in early).

Been away for the weekend and thought I'd sus out the venue for the 'do' whilst I was in the vicinity.

It looks nice & clean and was very easy to find.

Hi all, Not been around much lately, but fancy another meet up. Can I just say; my youngest daughter and I stayed at The Strand Palace about 2 years ago when she had an audition and it is HORRENDOUS. There was a strange smell and the rooms were ancient - beds lumpy and my touring caravan has a bigge...

Glad you got there Rosie.
Was it what you expected? It's a couple of years since I'd been in the building and hoped I'd given you the correct information!

Hope your daughter's audition went well, by the way. Thanks Rosie. It was 2 years ago and it did go OK although she didn't get in because they said she looked too young, and also they like them with a bit more life experience. Her actual audition (we went twice - once to look round and once to audi...

If anyone happens to be out at Swiss Cottage with a camera, Central is only a couple of minutes walk from the tube station.
The steps open out onto a sort of (public) plaza so no-one would think anything about you having a nosy. There are hundreds of names though up about 20 steps.

My daughter had an audition at central and when I with her for the initial talk etc. I noticed the steps. They are such an amazingly innovative idea.
They aren't like the 'stars' in Hollywood I'm afraid  but they are very finely carved into the steps themselves.

I got the DVD for my birthday in February. My eldest daughter (who some of you met in London) bought it for me. Must say, not my usual viewing but I did enjoy it.

Thanks everyone for your lovely posts. I went out for a meal with youngest daughter last night - just the 2 of us becasause husband and other daugter were otherwise engaged. I might as well come clean - it was my 50th and I'm feeling old :? I'm having a few friends (approx 58 at the last count) roun...

My daughter and I had a great time too.
I hadn't realised how much weight I'd put on over Christmas until I saw the photos.
I am now sitting here eating grapes, with a banana by my side for when I get really hungry
Hope to see everyone again sometime.

I haven't contributed much to the website (post wise) lately as I've been very busy, but I still look every day so I hope the little contribution (financial) will help out a bit. Can't do with this place going under :(

I also had a quick look through some tv mags in ASDA yesterday, but after flicking through 3 different ones, the woman who was stacking the shelves started to stare at me, so I gave up! I couldn't find anything about him in TV times ot Radio Times. :(

Sorry Rita, got it wrong again :?
This is the first day I've had in a fortnight to sit and properly read all the posts. All the lads are at a tool fair - yes I was invited but (yawn) I decided to catch up on a few more important jobs.

A few months ago I walked 5 miles along the canal bank to have lunch with my friend (in health kick mode) and got some very strange looks from a couple of fishermen and some workers clearing rubbish because I was giggling out loud. You see, I had The More The Merrier on my MP3 player, but because I ...

The Reckless nightclub dancing is quite cringeworthy, BUT, he's only dancing like everyone did back then
You can't say he doesn't throw himself into his roles!
